Gateron Cap V2 Switch is the new switch series that will offer smooth and tactile typing experience. The Gateron Cap V2 switches are fully compatible with our regular Keychron keyboard hot-swappable versions that do not require soldering.

Notice: Due to the housing design of the Gateron Cap Milky-Yellow, Golden-Yellow and Golden-Brown switches, the backlight effect will not be that obvious.

Meet Gateron Cap V2 Switches

Enlarged stem post makes the switch stem less wobbliness, yet more stable.

A 0.4 mm tiny hole is added to the switch base to reduce resistance based on the aerodynamic principle.

Base materials of gold contacts have been upgraded in which the oxidation resistance and conduction performance is greatly enhanced.

Factory pre-lube which generally improves the smoothness, stability and life span of the switch.

Any K series (Gateron Mechanical Hot-Swappable or Keychron Mechanical Hot-Swappable versions only), K Pro series (Normal-profile versions only), K Max series (Normal-profile versions only), C and C Pro series (Hot-Swappable versions only), V and V Max series, Q, Q Pro and Q Max series Keychron keyboards, and L and P Series Lemokey keyboards.

Yes, they are pre-lubed (excluding the blue).

Do all the Gateron cap V2 switches compatible with SMD LED?
Yes.

What are the materials of milky-yellow and golden-yellow cap switches?
Housing: PA66
Stem: POM

The tolerances on theses switches are tighter, so there's much less housing and stem wobble than traditional Gateron switches, correct?
Correct.

In addition to the plated-spring, what is the difference between Cap Milky-Yellow housing and Cap Golden-Yellow housing?
Just the color difference.

Ordered the milky yellows. They feel and sound amazing. Didn'I expect such a good experience from a factory lubed switch. My fingers and ears are fully satisfied!

Better than expected!

Got the milky gateron yellows. They sound amazing and feel buttery smooth. I wasn't expecting the lube to be good as most "pre lubed switches" aren't too great but these were a pleasant surprise!
